In his own words —
I am Tanzeel ur Rehman, a visual artist and visual communication designer, with a degree in Visual Arts from the National College of Arts, where I majored in oil painting, along with a diploma in painting from the University of the Punjab. My artistic journey began as a commercial artist, painting signboards and cinema boards, which gave me a strong foundation in traditional visual expression and craftsmanship.
Over the years, I have participated in numerous national and international exhibitions, and my work has been recognized with several awards. With almost 25 years of experience as an art educationist, I have served as a lecturer in art colleges and universities, providing not only academic instruction but also guidance in thesis development, admissions preparation, and counseling for art and design students.
Alongside teaching, I have worked with many companies as a visual design consultant, where I combine creativity and communication to design impactful visual strategies and identities.
To further promote art and design, I established Studio Tanzeel in 2001, a platform devoted to nurturing students and emerging artists through seminars, workshops, art activity classes, and creative projects built around the philosophy of “Art, Artist, and Society.” These initiatives highlight the essential cultural role of art and design, encouraging students to see creativity not only as a skill but also as a vital force that shapes society and enriches its values.
Through my practice as an artist, educator, and consultant, I remain committed to advancing the dialogue between art, culture, and community, believing that art is both a personal expression and a catalyst for collective growth.
Art is both a personal expression and a catalyst for collective growth.
